What a first brief should contain
You do not need a forty-page PDF. You need the commercial job, the date, the languages, and who can say yes.
The best first emails we receive are short. What must move in ninety days. What already exists. What is forbidden. Who signs. A budget range honest enough to scope against.
Mood boards help after the job is clear. They do not replace it. A folder of other people’s films is not a brief. It is a wish.
If you do not know the budget, say the outcome and the date. We can still tell you whether the job is a studio week or a year. We cannot invent a number you will like.
Bring the legal constraints early — healthcare, finance, automotive. It is cheaper than a reshoot. KPM Global Media would rather look careful in week one than clever in week six.
